LEAD ALERT! TOXIC DUST EXTRACTIONS

Toxic dust extraction is the vacuum extraction of all contaminates such as toxic dust, lead dust, chemical pollutants, dust mites and vermin dung from your roof, walls or ceiling areas. Lead Alert uses trailer mounted machines fitted with special HEPA filters. The dust is collected in a drum on the machine and is disposed of (drum and all) at an EPA approved Toxic Waste Centre.

It must be assumed, unless tests have proven otherwise, that all ceiling, wall and floor dust in pre – 1970 buildings contain lead. However all ceiling dust has the potential to be hazardous and it is at its most harmful when disturbed so it is important to have your roof vacuumed and toxic dust extracted from walls and ceilings when:

• Your home has a damaged or collapsed roof from a storm or high winds
• Renovating or extending your home
• Adding skylights, electrical cables or attic ladders
• The ceiling is damaged or cracked
• Any work is carried out in ceiling

HEPA FILTRATION SYSTEMS

HEPA filters are used as part of our vacuum filtration systems. The HEPA filter traps the fine particles of toxic dust, chemical pollutants, asbestos particles and even the dust from mite faeces that can trigger allergies and asthma symptoms. The vacuum is designed so that air drawn into the machine is completely filtered through the HEPA filter without any leakages.
